An ePad for ladies? It’s about time

Hands up if you can’t figure out how to use an iPad.

It’s your lucky day. Clueless tech-heads of the world (that would be women, of course) who have so far missed the boat with the impossible workings of the iTunes app store have Dubai-based tech company Eurostar Group to thank for finally connecting them with the 21st century.

Billed as the “world’s first tablet made exclusively for women” the ePad Femme is the first woman-proof tech product to come pre-loaded with apps that cover very gender specific categories including exercise, food shopping, weight loss and cooking. It also comes pre-loaded with a pink background, which takes an impossible job right out of your hands.

Speaking to the Jerusalem Post, Eurostar associate vice president of marketing Mani Nair says the tablet comes preloaded with applications so the technologically hopeless user can “just turn it on and log in to cooking recipes or yoga. It makes a perfect gadget for a woman who might find difficulties in terms of downloading these applications and it is a quick reference.”

Nair claims that the product isn’t sexist, and is merely catering to women-only pursuits.

The product comes in at a relatively cheap $190, but with only 7,000 sold so far it would seem the ladies haven’t mastered the art of spending yet either.
