Webinar preview: Lessons learned from 1000 global leaders in Paris

Avril Henry, also known as Lt General David Morrison’s leadership coach, was one of three Australian women invited to present at the Global Summit of Women in Paris earlier this month. The summit has now been hosted for 24 years and the rationale is to bring leaders from public, private and non-profit sectors together to explore how to expand women’s economic opportunities globally. It is described as a business event where the business focus is on women’s advancement in the global economy.

Over a thousand business leaders, government officials, entrepreneurs and not-for-profit leaders convened this year. Ann Sherry, Cassandra Kelly and Avril Henry were each invited to present their own working solutions and creative strategies on redesigning economies and societies to better support women.

When Avril returned from Paris she laughed as she explained to me that the Australian contingent made themselves heard. An important message that was repeated throughout the summit was this: women don’t need fixing. Instead they need to embrace their authentic power and stay true to themselves. If you’re interested to learn more about what Avril presented and what she took away from the other global leaders who presented, register for this My Agenda webinar on Wednesday.
