Elizabeth Proust appointed to Lendlease board

LendLease has appointed a third woman to its board, announcing today that Elizabeth Proust will start as a non-executive director in February 2018.

Elizabeth will join Nicola Wakefield Evans and Jane Hemstritch on the board.

Proust is well regarded as one of the country’s most influential businesswomen, following a diverse leadership career across the public and private sectors.

She spent eight years at ANZ Group, including in a number of managing director roles, after serving as Secretary (CEO) of the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Victoria) and Chief Executive of the City of Melbourne.

She has a vast range of board experience and is currently the chair of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Nestle (Australia) and the Advisory Board of the Bank of Melbourne.

She’s long been a supporter of getting more women on boards, especially now through her work with Company Directors.

Announcing the appointment today, Lendlease Chairman David Crawford said: “I am delighted that someone of Elizabeth’s calibre is joining the Board. She is highly regarded in both the public and private sectors and her appointment will enhance the mix of skills, diversity and experience on the Board.”

Congratulations Elizabeth Proust.
