It’s been a year of successes for women according to Catalyst.
To celebrate International Women’s Day on Tuesday, the global diversity organistaion released an infographic outlining some of the big wins that have occurred, covering everything from Jennifer Lawrence speaking up about the Hollywood wage gap to Nepal electing its first female president.
New Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his gender-equal cabinet also gets a mention, as does NASA’s latest class of astronauts, which is 50% women.
Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg’s two-month paternity leave is listed, along with Salesforce managing to eradicate the company’s pay gap and Ireland’s move to pass marriage equality by popular vote.
Sadly, we couldn’t see anything specific for Australian women. Perhaps 2016 will be our year to make the list.
