Four best eye beauty products to invest in

When it comes to beauty, eye products are a dynamic bunch. Not only are they designed to brighten peepers, lengthen lashes, decrease fine lines and under eye circles, they also need to be sensitive on their primary possie – the eyes themselves.

This is why is it a good idea to invest in products specifically for the windows to your soul. Here are a list of my top four.

A multi-purpose eye cream

An eye cream is muchos importante, especially if you suffer from dry skin around your eyes, or if you have particularly sensitive skin and peepers. I love the Gatineau Defi Lift 3D Eye contour cream. It works on three levels to promote fresh and youthful looking eyes. 1. Active yeast extract reduces puffiness and dark circles, 2. the dermo-relaxing ingredients cause the skin to destress, calming surface tension that causes fine lines, and 3. the formula tones the eye area, smoothing the skin. When applying your eye cream, be sure not to get it too close to your eyes. Instead, tap in on at least 1/1.5cms away from the edge of your eyes, as the cream will heat up once on your skin, and can travel into your peepers, leaving them less than fresh and alert! Apply before cleansing and bed each night for the best results.

A gentle makeup remover

Rather than scrubbing your eye makeup off with any old remover, reach for a gentle one, that won’t irritate your eyes. I love the new to bb, La Fresh wipes (which come in a huge range of wipe varieties – one for your makeup, one for your nail polish, one to cleanse… the list goes on!). These wipes are made from jojoba, grapeseed, and sesame oils to nourish while they remove, and are moist enough to not drag at skin while you de-paint your peepers at the end of the day!

Kind to eyes shadow

This 100% vegan shadow is so gentle on skin, and blends beautifully. Carmine Free and made from mineral-based pigments, without any fillers, binders of extenders, you can rest assured it’s fine to put up close to eyes – and everywhere else. Yes, you can use these little pigmented pots to add colour to eyes, cheeks and even lips! I personally love the Clove shade, a lovely natural bronze hue which looks divine doubled up on lids and cheekbones.

An easy to apply, and remove mascara

Formulated with sensitive eyes in mind, the Eye of Horus mascara has a flexible brush glides with lashes to curl and enhance lashes naturally. Made from natural waxes that won’t clump or clog, it’s easily removable (even with just warm water).

Do you have a great set of eye products that work for your peepers? Do tell me which are your faves! – Lauren
