Sarah Fregon appointed CEO of the Victorian Bar

Accomplished lawyer and businesswoman Sarah Fregon has been appointed the CEO of the Victorian Bar, a position she will take up in March of 2015.

She is currently serving as General Counsel and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at PZ Cussons Australia and New Zealand. She is also a member of the Victorian Liquor Control Advisory Council. Prior to this, she has spent many years in private practice as corporate counsel and has also spent eight years at the Victorian Bar.

“The Victorian Bar is delighted to welcome Ms Fregon, who has an impressive and successful track record in commercial law, dispute resolution, corporate governance and  regulatory compliance, together with significant experience in the development of  corporate strategy,” said Jim Peters QC, Victorian Bar Chairman.

“Ms Fregon will bring to the Victorian Bar practical legal experience from across the profession. She also shares our commitment to excellence at the Victorian Bar, and is well placed to assist and support our next stage of growth,” Mr Peters said

Fregon will replace outgoing CEO Stephen Hare.
