Whitman is a Princeton and Harvard Business School graduate who has served as an executive at DreamWorks, The Walt Disney Company, Hasbro and Procter & Gamble.

Virginia Rometty was appointed IBM’s first female CEO in January 2012. Graduating in 1979 with degrees in computer science and electrical engineering, Rometty joined IBM following a stint with the General Motors Institute and is credited with pioneering IBM growth strategies such as its move into the cloud computing business.

Harvard Business graduate Sheryl Sandberg became Facebook’s chief operating office in 2008, and its first female board member in June 2012. She was chief of staff in the United States Department of the Treasury, prior to joining Facebook.
